CMAA NCC's President Message: Looking Forward to 2023!

Dear CMAA NCC,

I want to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2023.

The CMAA NCC Chapter is excited about what is in store as we kick off the new year with new membership involvement and engagement by developing tailored events, activities, and meetings. The CMAA NCC Executive Board has kicked off the next administration with strategic planning sessions with all committee chairs to increase participation and enhance membership engagement. The main objective for all members is to get involved and have fun!

As part of our key focus areas, the Executive Board is implementing a company/corporate champion with each member organization to solicit an internal key contact in supporting voices within each organization to assist in getting active involvement. We are also looking for our larger Mega Members to support the committees' efforts with volunteers and potential sponsorship opportunities. 

Our committee goals have been established this year for each of the (15) committees to plan and schedule relevant and tailored events to benefit the wide range of chapter members. All specific committee goals will be rolled out, including the new committee chairs, in the coming month. 

For the 2023 calendar year, our committees are fostering events and engagement opportunities to increase membership engagement, support our scholarship and awards, produce financial gains to support the increase in activities, and demonstrate the organization's valuable benefits. They are also looking at developing smaller events with greater frequency to engage a more diverse attendance, and the involvement of the members and partners that are successful will be the anchor of some committees to commence working on in 2023.

• Women in Construction Leadership Forum 
• Annual Student Scholarship and Project Awards Banquet
• SAME & ACEC Joint Sponsorship Events.
• Holiday Networking Event

All events and engagement opportunities will be posted on our chapter website calendar and be emailed directly to our members, including monthly news updates and reminders. 

We are excited to grow the Chapter and share the CMAA message.
